The Pisswah of Harbourne

On a recent jaunt to Harbourne I was delighted to see that the old pisswah public convenience was still in operation. I have never enjoyed the sensation of having a waz in these Victorian cast iron masterworks. The ones in Digbeth have all been boarded up because the council would rather have people urinating themselves than sucking off strangers or taking drugs...a stupid decision as those activities can and do happen anywhere and now pissing joins them as an illicit street activity as opposed to a discrete bodily function. Anyway, the ones down there have been boarded up but in some the original porcelain urinals still seem to be in place. The one in Harbourne has been retro-fitted with a stainless steel trough but it still a marvellous sensory experience. A dense miasma hung in the air, the ornate cast iron work gave something to look upon, whilst my piss caused a plume of steam to erupt as it poured upon the cold steel. I highly recommend it to anyone...although I wouldn't try and experience a sense of taste with this one, don't go licking any bricks, who knows what has spurted up them.
